1 Install Server 2008

As my school assessment i had to install windows server 2008 on Virtual box. I created a new drive, 20g in size and allocated 1g ram. I then set the server 2008 ISO onto the DVD drive and booted the virtual box.


Click install now....

I Chose to install Enterprise x64 because it supports all the server roles.

I Read through the license agreement....... OK i lie, i just checked the box and clicked next, but who actually reads the agreement, no one, that's who. At the end of the day, if you don't accept the terms it wont let you install.

This page allowed me to choose whether I wanted to do a fresh install or an upgrade from a lower version of Server 2008. Because i don't have a previous version i chose fresh install.

Once I had entered the product key, Server 2008 began to install.

When the installation finished, the computer rebooted and I got this screen, which mean this is the time where you create your password.

Once I had entered my credentials, I was able to log in.
The installation process is pretty straight forward, nothing complicated about it.
