4 Join the Windows 7 computer to the domain

We had to join a windows 7 box that i created earlier to our server box domain (leeroy.com), to do this i had to go into the windows 7 computer properties.

 In the basic Information about your computer area, click change settings at the bottom right.

 This brings you to the system properties where you can change the computer name and its domain. Click change at the bottom.

Next enter the domain name of your server and click ok.

When this page popped up i had to enter credentials of a user with an account on the server.

If all goes well and you are recognised by the server, then you will be welcome to the domain.

As per microsoft tradition a reboot is required for changes to take effect. click ok

Click restart now.
