6 Create a Security Group for each OU and Add the user to the security group

Steps 6 and 8 were to create a security group for each OU and make our users a member of that group. Firstly go into Active Directory Users and Computers. Right click on the OU, point to new, and then click group.

Type in the name of the security group and make sure the scope and type are set correctly. Click OK when done.

I created a Global Security group for each one of my OU's.

To add the user of the OU to the security group, right click the user and click Add to a group...

Next i had to select the group the user was to become a member of. Click Advanced.

Click Find Now.

This brings up every group in the domain. Select the desired group, in this case salessecurity. Click OK

Notice the salessecurity group has now been selected. Click OK.

The user has now been successfully added to the salessecurity group.
